Cheryl Dunn - Photographer
This was soon followed by "Back Worlds For Words" - a short film featuring skateboard legend Mark Gonzales. Her film "Bicycle Gangs of New York" premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was followed by a book of the same title. Also that year another short film, "Come Mute", showed at Los Angeles Film Festival after premiering in the touring museum show "Beautiful Losers". A book of the same title was released featuring more than 30 of her photos as well as a documentary that featured excerpts from her film "Creative Life Store". Her second book, entitled "Some kind of Vocation" was distributed by DAP in 2007.
Cheryl's work is currently showing in group shows at Roberts & Tilton Gallery LA, New Image Art LA and White Walls in San Francisco. As if that weren't enough, she is also in production on a feature documentary that centers around the Creative Growth Art Center, a school in Oakland California for artists with disabilities.
Cheryl's first campaign for WeSC was launched January 2010, named "The Mulholland Session" featuring WeActivists including Jason Lee, Peter Stormare, Mercedes Helnwein, Sage Vaughn, Ray Barbee, Alex and Vanessa Prager, Chris Pastras, Steve Berra and many more. WeSC and Cheryl will continue to work together so stay tuned for more amazing work!
