Interview with Jason Lee & Chris Pastras of Stereo Skateboards

You have both been part of the WeSC family since the very beginning. How did you first get in contact with WeSC?

Chris Pastras:
I initially came across WeSC clothing on a trip to Europe in 2000-2001 shortly after the brand launched. I was on a skate tour, and our driver Sebastian worked in the Örebro Flagship Store and had some amazing gear on that I kept complimenting him on. It didn't look anything like traditional "skate" clothing, it was really stylish high-end stuff,… read more →

Lucy McLauchlan Exhibition

Check out Lucy McLauchlan's superb new show "Marking Shadows". It's been a pleasure watching Lucy's work develop over the years - perhaps this is her most accomplished show to date. Moving away from her figurative style towards a more abstract and minimal approach - this is a sublime & distinctive collection - a calming antidote to 'urban overload'. Here's a few photos from the reception...

To celebrate it's rich motor heritage Örebro pulled out all the stops on September 13 to give Swedish motor fans a show of a lifetime. Örebro is without doubt the Motor capital of Sweden, and 40 years ago, Örebro native Ronnie Peterson won GP races in Monaco, France and Italy. 30 years ago, the city's major rally profile Stig Blomqvist won the World Cup.

This year another Örebro profile (well, actually he's from Kumla, just outside Örebro, but close enough) took to the… read more →

Back to Brazil - Kingsley Davis

Check out "Places & Spaces / Faces of Brazil" by photographer Kingsley Davis.

In June Kingsley visited Sao Paulo in Brasil, where he spent 2 weeks capturing its people, fashion, culture and of course the buzz of the World Cup. The last few days were recorded in Rio De Janeiro on Copacabana beach. A series of portraits were taken of the local people straight after the Brazil v Chile game where the host nation edged a victory on penalties.
