United Kingdom Back from MOCA...

Hi folks,

Sorry I didn't get a chance to upload any photos on Friday morning, as the first opening of Art In The Streets at the Geffen Contemporary followed up with an after at Paul & Andre, up in Hollywood. The subsequent flow of Sailor Jerry made uploading anything an impossible task the next morning. My only priority was to go and take some shots of the space when it was totally empty, and also catch a "hair of the dog", over at T.O.T., on East 2nd street.

Took as many shots as I could, but there was a film crew in Street Market, so I didn't get to play on Espo's, Reas' and Twists' back-alleys at all :-(

Though I myself felt compelled to write the names of many artists who're not included in this show, it's only when I take a long moment, and do my own walk-through, that I realise just what an immense task it has been to actually make this huge show something coherent for the public as well as the gallery crowd. Though I don't agree on all those who were included and left out, I can only commend the whole crew at the MOCA on what is indeed an incredible show.

It's on until August 18th, but time flies by real quick, and the queues to get in have already been real long. Don't miss out, should you ever be over on the West Coast; or else do like so many who showed true passion in paying their own way over there for this remarkable event.

Another thing, for those who stayed INside the venue on Saturday night, the legendary Cold Crush Brothers KILLED IT outside! Today's MCs still act like they don't know...

I'll only supply you with a couple of shots, so you'll have to go and do some hunting to get more. Of course, this cannot compare with experiencing the whole thing in real life.

Enjoy nonetheless... :-)
