Andy Dearth is one of the newest Activists on WESC. he was brought on because WESC already had so many other emotions represented through its activist. but there was no sadness to be found. sadness is one of the most important emotions we have because it helps inspire our most creative ways of thinking. when we are sad we are productive and if we are not productive we are soon inspired by this emotion in some way. maybe it inspires us to make a change or inspires us to let it out through our artwork or it could just be the inspiration to pull the trigger, but its a serious emotion and i love it.
humor and sadness go hand and hand. Working off one another to grow. i often say "what would we laugh at if there was no sadness (racism, sexism, homophobia, discrimination ect ect".)
