The WeActivist Series for the Winter 2010 Collection: The Lady Tigra!
"The "Tiger with the BoomBox" is one of the five logos from my first solo album "Please Mr. BoomBox". Electric green and fuchsia, my official colors, are a throwback to my early days in L'Trimm. The boombox, to me, is a symbol of a time when music was more communal. As a kid, I'd sometimes be on the subway or walking to the bodega and be turned on to new music coming out of a stranger's radio. Music was shared with everyone within hearing distance, indiscriminately, unexpectedly, like being struck by lightning. This feeling of energy and community is what now attracts me to WeSC and I'm excited to be sharing the experience with you!
