The WeActivist Series for Winter 2010 by Marcel Struwer:
This is a detail from a painting I made a couple of years ago, called “Incident in Spain”. I travelled around the country looking for posters to tear down, a lot of strange things happened during that trip. I often refer to my art as a sort of travelling journal. I look for posters that I tear down from walls around the world, then bring them home to my studio and recycle them in my art.
