Rush Hour has cultivated itself into an institute for electronic music and a haven
for music lovers worldwide. They first and foremost focus on music they believe in and have a love for. The Rush Hour family has a strong sense of pride in always working with and feeding off that impulse and faith, rather than for the mighty dollar or bottom line. Late 1997 saw the opening of the recordstore and mail order, which
manifested the very beginning of the company. Initially importing many obscure records from around the world then later exporting similar Dutch records to overseas companies. This set up led to the start of the label, which saw its first release just before 2000. What all the releases up to date have in common is an electronic groove that has, over time, been coined ‘The Rush Hour flavor’.

The last few years the label has grown stronger than ever, with classic releases by locals such as Aardvarck, Comtron, Kid Sublim to mention some as well as by international artists such as Anthony ‘Shake’ Shakir, Carl Craig, Daniel Wang, Kenny Larkin and more... Over the years a lot of record stores have come and gone. The
RH store and mail order has been steadily growing. Wherever Rush Hour goes you can be sure its not driven by hype and/ or money. It’s a company from the heart and soul. A passion that won’t stop.
